MASTER TEACHERS
Madam Alla Osipenko
Kirov Ballet, One of the greatest Russian prima ballerinas, and last protégée
of Agrippina Vaganova in Leningrad. She graduated in 1950 and was immediately
accepted at the Kirov Ballet as a soloist. Madam Osipenko was Nureyev's partner,
until he defected, and then also Barishnikov's. She began teaching at the Vaganova
School in 1966. Considered one of the most distinguished and internationally
recognized artist and pedagogue of the 20th Century. Master teacher for the
Vaganova School, Royal Ballet London, Kirov Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, and
Hartford Ballet. During 1999, and until her return to St. Petersburg, Russia
in 2001, Madam Osipenko taught at the School of Mystic Ballet. During this time
she coached and worked closely with Artistic Director Desiree Subotic on the
educational programs, and is responsible for developing a progressive syllabus
and training program for the School of Mystic Ballet. During her tenure with
Mystic Ballet Madam Osipenko choreographed "Passing The Barre" and
"Swan Lake" - Black Pas de Deux, for Mystic Ballet's Millennium Project,
preformed at the Garde Arts Center.
Franco de Vita
Principal, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre. He
was President and co-founder of the Associazione Nazione Coreutica Enrico Cecchetti
(the Italian Cecchetti Society). In New York City, Mr. De Vita was faculty member
at The Ailey School, The Ailey/Fordham BFA program and guest company teacher
for The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Ailey II. He was company teacher
for Hartford Ballet and principal faculty member of the School of Hartford Ballet
and the BFA dance program of the University of Hartford; and was part of the
task force that revised Hartford Ballet Schools curriculum. Before joining
American Ballet Theatre, Franco De Vita was Dean of Faculty and Curriculum of
the Boston Ballet School and company teacher for Boston Ballet.
Raymond Lukens
Boston Ballet, Hartford Ballet Raymond Lukens is a freelance ballet master
and coach living in New York City. He was director of Boston Ballet II and Ballet
Master for the Boston Ballet and served as Ballet Master for Cincinnati Ballet,
Hartford Ballet and Alberta Ballet. In New York City, he has been teaching for
American Ballet Theatre, The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, The Ailey School,
The Julliard School.
Alexander Brady
Alexander Brady started his training at the Boston School of Ballet, and continued
his educaton, at the School of American Ballet. During his extensive dance career,
Brady has danced with the Joffrey Ballet under artistic leadership of Gerald
Arpino, Miami City Ballet as a Soloist, and Twyla Tharp Dance. Brady was an
original cast member of the Broadway production of "Movin Out" where
he danced in the ensemble as well as the role of "James". He as also
worked as Rehearsal Director for Twyla Tharp Dance, as well as Assistant Choreographer
for "the Times they are a Changin'", Choreographed and Directed by
Twyla Tharp. He will also be appearing in the film " Across the Universe"
directed by Julie Taymor. As a pedagogue, Brady has worked as an assistant and
right hand of Edward Villella at the School of Miami City Ballet. Teaching:
Ballet Technique, Partnering, Variations, and mens class.
Michael Hall
American born and trained, Hall was a soloist for 16 years with Tanz-Forum.
A Modern and Jazz instructor for the Ballet Academy of Cologne. As a choreographer,
he is working in Germany with Ballettschule International, Bonn. Teaching modern
& Jazz.
Evgeniy Krasowski
Originally from Moscow, Russia. He studied classical and modern dance at the
Moscow State University of Arts and continued his studies at Frankfurt College
of Musik and Performing Arts. For the past ten years he has been dancing in
Russia, Germany and USA: Free Ballet Moscow, Schiller Theater NRW, Festival
Ballet Providence, Deutsche Oper am Rein and Theater Dortmund. His credits include
solo roles in classical ballets Swan Lake" and Nutcracker,
musicals such as West Side Story and Cabaret, to name
a few. He also received critical acclaim for his choreography "Flashback"at
Dortmund, Germany.
