The federally recognized Mystic Ballet’s F.A.D.  Network  – Trainee Program is a professional artistic development program with employment opportunities. Dancers are chosen to participate by invitation, or through auditions, only. A perfect place for those who have completed a traditional dance training program and are searching for artistic development, as well as a platform for building a dance resume of the artist of extraordinary caliber – the fastest way into the top tier of the professional dance world.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Dancers take daily company class, rehearse and perform classical, contemporary and modern works.

The unique lifestyle of an Artistic Colony – creates a very positive artistic environment, where dancers, working and living with other fellow artists, and become part of a productive dance-world network. Dancers are cast to perform throughout the season with Mystic Ballet. Performances are held locally and nationally, and with an opportunity of invitation for international tour.

Mystic Ballet’s F.A.D.  Network – Trainee Program dancers have the opportunity to work and be individually coached by resident and guest choreographers.

F.A.D.  NETWORK PLATFORM:

To build their individual resumes, dancers are featured on printed promotional materials including press photos, playbills, posters, and mailings. In addition dancers profiles are featured with local and national press and magazines including the New York Times.

Upon completion of the program, dancers will receive a compellation of professional video recordings of their works, as well as a CD-album of their in studio and performance photo-shoots.

 

SELECTION PROCESS:

Mystic Ballet’s Summer Program offers a thorough introduction to Mystic Ballet’s Company and F.A.D. Network – Trainee Program. In addition, it serves as an extended audition for dancers seeking admission to Mystic Ballet’s F.A.D. Network – Trainee Program for the Season, or Company positions.

Dancers not from the immediate area will take residency in Mystic Ballet housing.

For Foreign Dancers: Mystic Ballet is approved and registered with United States Department of Homeland Security to issue Form I-20 for the issuance of a visa for appropriate non-immigrant status.
