• 2 Consecutive years professional experience with a reputable dance company
• Letter of recommendation from Artistic Director (not a teacher) & references
• For international dancers – green card or valid O1 Visa

For FAD – Free Artistic Development Trainee Program:

• Dancer must be 18 years or older
• Trained classically and in contemporary

Mystic Ballet annually selects 8 – 12 dancers from its Summer FAD Program to participate in the FAD Network Program. Summer FAD program serves as an extended audition for dancers seeking admission to Mystic Ballet’s FAD Network Program for the Season.

Many dancers who completed Mystic Ballet’s FAD  - trainee program have been promoted to Mystic Ballet Company or have accepted contracts with other professional companies.

For Foreign Dancers: Mystic Ballet is approved and registered with United States Department of Homeland Security to issue Form I-20 for the issuance of a visa for appropriate non-immigrant status.

We request that you to submit us a link to your recorded audition – On the  Online Audition Form. Your audition footage should be no longer than 10 minutes in length, and the main focus should be your solo work and your center work.

Your audition footage should include:

• Minimal barre work
• Center adagio
• Pirouette combination
• Petite allegro
• Grand allegro
• Pointe work (if applicable): a center combination or a classical variation
• Solo of your choice: The solo should highlight your movement quality and artistic choices and can be in any style you prefer, your own choreography or someone else’s. We suggest your solo be something other than a classical variation.
