Originally from Boise, Idaho, Lauren Edson began her training at Ballet Idaho Academy and Westside Dance Academy (OR). She continued her formal studies at North Carolina School of the Arts and The Juilliard School, under the direction of the late Benjamin Harkarvy. She danced with the acclaimed Trey McIntyre Project located in Boise, ID. As a choreographer, she has won numerous awards and grants.
In 2012 she was commissioned by Mystic Ballet to create “Sun and Steel”. Rehearsed and restaged (by Goran Subotic) version of “Sun and Steel” was performed at Jacobs Pillow inside-out, as well as has toured Japan, Europe and Central America.
