Company Audition for 2010/11 Season

Mystic Ballet is seeking dancers 18 – 28 years of age, with strong classical ballet and contemporary technique for the 2010-11 season. Contracts are for full time positions for male/female dancers. Contracts run from 36 to 52 weeks. Contracts are based on merit and experience. All dancers must register for the audition in advance. F.A.D.- Free Artistic Development Network – Residency Program is a one- to two-year program made up of dancers chosen to participate by invitation, or through auditions, in the US and abroad. A perfect place for those who have completed a traditional dance training program and are searching for artistic development – the fastest way into the professional dance world. Dancers range in age from 18 to 23 years old. To find out more about Mystic Ballet’s F.A,D. – Residency Program. Don’t forget to specify audition location.
For Foreign Dancers: Mystic Ballet is approved and registered with United States Department of Homeland Security to issue Form I-20 for the issuance of a visa for appropriate non-immigrant status.

Auditions For 2010/11 Season – Pre-Profesional Program
Each season, Mystic Ballet will accept a limited number of students in to its tuition free, Pre-Professional Program, through audition. These students must possess physical and artistic attributes, professional discipline, and commitment to the art of dance. Mystic Ballet’s Summer Intensive serves as an extended audition for students seeking admission to Mystic Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program, for the following academic year. Enrollment is limited in both programs.
Mystic Ballet holds Summer Intensive auditions by appointment Thursdays and Saturdays at Mystic Ballet, from January to May. Appointments may be made by calling 860 536-3671or sending e-mail to the registrar at info@mysticballet.org . An application fee of $30 is due at the time of audition registration. Payment must be in the form of cash or money order. Personal checks will not be accepted. As a general rule, recommendation letters, photographs and resumes are not accepted at auditions. Girls must bring pointe shoes to the audition.
Students interested in auditioning, but are unable to attend scheduled auditions, (and live outside of a 100 mile radius) may send a current DVD, a letter of recommendation from your most recent teacher, and photo (first arabesque, and head shot) to:

A completed Summer Registration Form and audition fee of $30 must be submitted no later than July 1.
