Invited in 2007 to the Oregon Ballet Theatre Summer Program, Takenouchi was one of 20 young women accepted to study with Damara Bennett. In 2010 she debuted as a soloist in Ballet Studio Angelique dancing Dew Drop in The Nutcracker, Grand Pas Classique and Etoile in Paquita. In the same year she placed 2nd as a soloist in the Namue and Flap Ballet Competitions as well as a finalist in the Kobe Ballet Competition. Principal roles at Ballet Studio Angelique include Gamzatti in La Bayadere and Peaseblossom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2012, Takenouchi was invited to dance in the 5th Anniversary performance at Angelique as Violente in The Sleeping Beauty. She joined Mystic Ballet in 2012.
