At thirteen, he performed his first leading role as the Sugar Plum Fairy Cavalier, in The Nutcracker. He performed with the Ballet Folcklorico Macehuatl directed by Rene Jaime Orozco from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, he joined Ballet Concierto of Nicaragua, under the direction of Elvin Vanegas, the same year he danced, as a guest, with Danza Contemporanea Camara of Nicaragua directed by Gloria Bacon. Sequeira’s classical repertoire includes Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and The Nutcracker. He has received training from Antonio Buhler, Brigitte Meuwley, Asun Noales, and Marisa Caprara . Upon graduation in 2009, he became a member of the National Dance Company of El Salvador, performing for two seasons. This is Sequeira’s second season with Mystic Ballet. |
