Sebastian Brown

From Santiago, Chile. Sebastían, graduated with his Dipoma of Interpreter in Dance with minor in choreography from the P.I Escuela Moderna de Música y Danza. He has performed with companies Cuerpo en Vuelo directed by Vivian Romo, Danza en Cruz directed by Valentina Pavéz and Rodrigo Fernández, José Vidal y Compañía, Séptima compañia de danza contemporánea, directed by Luis Eduardo Araneda, Colective ‘Si me llaman Boys’ directed by Matías Aravena and the collective Danza al x Mayor. To date he has performed in various theatric plays including, ‘Infrarojo, Vida contra la Vida’ by Teresa Alcaíno, ‘A partir de’ by Martin Andrade, ‘Fragmentos de 1950’ by Vivian Romo, ‘VORTEX’ by Joel Inzunza, ‘Hereje’ by Paulo Uribe, ‘2 Semanas para tí’ by Daphnis Kokinos. Performance highlights include dancing with  Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, ‘Raices del cuerpo’ by Valentina Pavéz, ‘Canto General’ and ‘Cortometraje’ by Luis Eduardo Araneda, ‘El Salón’ by Rodrigo Fernández, ‘Rito de Primavera’ by José Vidal, ‘Beauty’ by Pablo Zamorano. As a choreographer he has created small works such as ‘Diente de León’, ‘Atenea’ and ‘Un placer’, and large-scale plays ‘ECOS’ and ‘Yo, Tú y Nosotros’, the last one for the company Cuerpo en Vuelo. Brown has taught in the improvisation branch with the teacher Vivian Romo at the Centro Cultural Escuela Moderna and dictated the contemporary dance workshop taught at the Santiago Library by the company Danza en Cruz. He currently conducts a Jazz Fusion and Contemporary/Improvisation class for the students of the School. This is Sebastian’s first year dancing with Mystic Ballet.
