Mathilde grew up in the south of France. She started dance in a private school; L’Atelier Chorégraphique. She studied ballet with Brigitte Cantrelle and Eric Smietana, contemporary with Sophie Viora and Jazz with Bruno Caprioli.
At forteen she joined the conservatory Of Nice where she studied Ballet with Mr Jérôme Benezech, and Contemporary with Mr. Bertrand Papillon. She obtained her DEC (diplôme d’études chorégraphiques) in contemporary.
Joining the préprofessional programme at Millenium Dance Center at age sixteen, she worked with different dancers and choreopraphers, including Floriane Blitz, Andreas Lauck and Philippe Solano.
At eighteen she was invited to join Cobosmika Seeds, a junior company in Spain directed by Peter Mika and Olga Cobos. She stayed there for two years while working with many choreographers and dancers, such as Maeva Berthelot (Cie Hofesh Shechter), Samuel Lefeuvre and Flor Demestri (cie Peeping Tom) and Sharon Fridman.
She performed two pieces with Peter Mika “Check In” and “Homo Virtualis”, Anton Larky’s “Traffic Jam”, Lali Ayguadé’s (cie Akram Kan), “Sabba Seed’s”, and Julia Roberts and Rudi Cole’s (cie Akram Kan) “Loose Strings”. She performed these pieces in France, Italy and Spain.
She has worked with dancers of Hofesh Shechter Company and performed excerpts of the piece “Political Mother”.
This is her first year at Mystic Ballet 2.
When she is not dancing, Mathilde loves laughing, traveling, and she is a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
