Alejandro Ulloa Zepeda
Born in Manaqua, Nicaraqua.
Education: National Ballet School from Nicaragua. William Herrera, Anna Medrano, Maria Torguet.
Experience: At the age of 16 he began to dance with the Ballet Folklorico Quetzaltnahuatl, under the direction of William Herrera. At the age of 19, he studied ballet at the National Ballet School of Nicaragua, directed by William Herrera, main teachers include William Herrera, Anna Medrano and Maria Torguet. In 2009 he joined the contemporary company from UNAN-Managua “Danza Contemporanea Universitaria UNAN-Managua”, under the direction of Ally Reyes and in 2010 he joined the ballet company “Compania Ballet de Nicaragua”, under the direction of William Herrera. He participated in International Ballet Galas throughout Nicaragua.
His repertoire with MB includes works by Brian Enos, Sergei Vanaev, Lauren Edson, Gabrielle Lamb, and Austin McCormick.
He performed in New York at the APAP 2013, Brian Enos’s “Autumn Quartet”.
In 2013 he performed with Mystic Ballet, Lauren Edson’s “Imaginary Love” at Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out Series. This is his second season with Mystic Ballet.
